Southampton are still pushing to English-born Ghanaian youngster Jesurun Rak-Sakyi from Crystal Palace despite also being on the radar of Leeds United.
It has already been an eventful summer for the Crystal Palace No.49 so far, to say the least.
Rak-Sakyi has been the subject of a £12m bid from Southampton, scoring three goals in our last two friendlies in the meantime.
Alan Nixon has now suggested on his Patreon that Jesurun Rak-Sakyi chose to stay in London, rather than travel to Baltimore for the pre-season tour of the United States.
The reliable journalist states that Crystal Palace wanted the 21-year-old to fight for a place in the starting XI this summer, so the decision to stay in England has “raised question marks” at Selhurst Park.
Along with Southampton, Leeds are also looking to sign Rak-Sakyi this summer.
It is believed that Rak-Sakyi is keen to leave Crystal Palace this summer after a miserable 2023/24 campaign, in which he made just six Premier League appearances, totaling just 132 minutes.
