A Social Development Officer at the Amenfi West Municipal Assembly, Daniel Awuah, has called for an extensive public education on parental bonding and attachment to enhance early childhood development in Ghanaian families and schools.
Speaking on Samreboi based Green Gold TV’s Flagship Morning Show, Daniel Awuah expressed worry at the increasing insensitivity of some parents towards children care and upbringing during marital or relationship breakups.

The social worker called for a vigorous parental reorientation to help improve on the moral upbringing of children.
Parental bonding refers to the emotional connection between a parent and child . It is about creating a sense of security, trust, and love.
Daniel Awuah explained that strong parental bonding contributes to better emotional regulation and makes kids feel more secure and manage emotions better, adding that they develop healthier relationships with their peers
