Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Chairman aspirant, Hon. Boakye Kyeremanteng Agyarko, has congratulated John Boadu and the newly elected national executives of the party following the NPP’s National Delegates Conference in Kumasi.
In a statement issued on October 4, 2026, Mr Agyarko said the outcome of the conference reaffirmed the NPP’s democratic tradition, internal vibrancy and commitment to the future of the party.
He extended his congratulations to John Boadu on his election as National Chairman and wished him “wisdom, strength, and great success” in his new role.
Mr Agyarko also congratulated the other newly elected national executives, describing their victories as a collective call to duty, service and sacrifice.
He expressed appreciation to members of his campaign team, volunteers, constituency chairpersons and executives, as well as delegates who supported his bid for the National Chairmanship.
According to him, the internal contest should not be viewed as a battle between opposing factions but as a family contest among party members committed to the same cause.
“Today, there are no individual victors or vanquished – it is the New Patriotic Party that has emerged victorious,” he said.
Mr Agyarko urged party members to begin the process of reconciliation and consolidation, saying the challenges ahead required the NPP to close ranks and present a united front.
He pledged his support for Mr Boadu, the newly elected National Executive Committee and the party’s flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
He said his ultimate objective remained securing victory for the NPP in the 2028 presidential and parliamentary elections.
“I dedicate myself to working hand-in-hand with the leadership and our grassroots across all 16 regions to realise this noble mission and return our party to government to serve the great people of Ghana,” he said.
Mr Agyarko also commended the NPP National Elections Committee, the Electoral Commission of Ghana and the security agencies for what he described as a smooth, transparent and peaceful election.
He called on party members to remain united as the NPP begins preparations for the 2028 elections.
