The Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED) in Kumasi has donated forty thousand Ghana cedis (GHC 40,000) to the Heal Komfo Anokye Renovation Project (HeKAP).
The donation was presented by the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Professor Isaac Boateng, who noted that the university had been following the project with keen interest and was happy to contribute to the renovation of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).
The donation was raised from various groups within the university, including the University itself (GHC 12,000), UTAG members (GHC 15,000), and GAUA members (GHC 13,000).
Professor Boateng emphasized the importance of supporting KATH, which serves residents in the Ashanti Region and beyond.
Dr. Charles Baba Campion, Chairman of GAUA, noted that the contribution was part of their corporate social responsibility and highlighted the crucial role KATH plays in the lives of people in the region.
The donation was presented to support the renovation and development of KATH, following a call from Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
