Former Black Stars midfielder, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu, has called for patience in assessing the current coach’s performance, stressing that he needs more time to build a strong team.
In an interview with Monica Bukari on GHOne TV, Badu expressed confidence in the coach’s abilities, stating that he is in the process of constructing a cohesive team that will deliver results in the future.
“He’s still building a team, and it takes time to see the results. We have to give him the opportunity to work with the boys and see what he can achieve,” Badu noted.
The former Udinese star acknowledged that while results may not have been immediate, it’s crucial to allow the coach sufficient time to establish his strategy. He emphasized that pressure on the coach should be tempered with understanding, considering the team is still in a developmental phase.
Badu also addressed the criticisms that have been leveled against the coach, stating that people should not rush to judgment. “If given time, he can prove himself. We have to be patient and give him the space to operate without undue pressure,” he added.
When asked about the challenges the team currently faces, Badu highlighted that it’s not just about the coach but also the management and resources available to support the team. “It’s not always just about the coach. We have to look at the bigger picture and see how we can better support the team, from management to player welfare.”
The interview sheds light on the growing tension among supporters, many of whom are eager for quick results. However, Badu believes that success will come with time and that hasty decisions could disrupt the progress being made.
He urged fans to trust the process and give the coach a fair chance to prove himself.
Badu’s comments come at a time when the Black Stars’ performance has been under scrutiny, with many calling for a change in leadership. However, his remarks suggest that patience and long-term planning might be the key to turning things around.
