Asante Mamponghene, Daasebre Osei Bonsu II, launched a commemorative book titled “The Commemorative Book for Asante Mampong Silver Stool” at a grand ceremony aimed at raising funds for the renovation and retooling of the Mampong Government Hospital.

The event, held in Mampong Palace , brought together distinguished guests including Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, civil and public servants, traditional leaders, and residents of the Asante Mampong community.

In his address, Daasebre Osei Bonsu II reflected on his life’s journey, the challenges, and the triumphs he has faced throughout his tenure as the Mamponghene.

He emphasized that the book not only chronicles his personal experiences but also serves as a testament to the strength and resilience of the people of Asante Mampong.

He highlighted the rich traditions and values cherished by the community and expressed a desire to preserve these for future generations.

“The book is not just a reflection of my life but a testament to the strength and resilience of the people of Mampong,” he stated, adding that it pays tribute to the values and traditions of the kingdom while laying a foundation for the future.

Daasebre Osei Bonsu II also expressed his profound gratitude to those who have supported his leadership and the community’s development efforts over the years, including his wife, Lady Janet Dorothy Mama, whom he called his “ever gorgeous better half,” and his daughter, Dr. Nana Mary Osei.

The Mamponghene underscored the need for collective efforts in addressing pressing challenges and celebrated both the great and small victories that have contributed to the kingdom’s progress.

“Together, we have navigated the complexities of leadership and contributed to the collective progress of Mampong,” he remarked.

The proceeds from the book launch will go toward the renovation and upgrading of the Mampong Government Hospital, a key healthcare facility serving the people of Mampong and its surrounding areas.

The initiative aims to improve healthcare delivery in the region by modernizing infrastructure and acquiring much-needed medical equipment.

Daasebre Osei Bonsu II concluded his remarks by encouraging continued support for the development of the Mampong community and the hospital, urging all present to work together toward a future that honors their past while embracing the promise of tomorrow.

The launch of the book marks another milestone in the Asante Mampong kingdom’s efforts to promote its heritage while contributing to the wellbeing of its people.
