Professor Yarhands Dissou Arthur of the Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED) has commended judges in the just ended ambulance trail.
However, he disclosed that a tape played a crucial role in saving two individuals, Ato Forson and Richard Jakpa, from a potentially disastrous situation.
Minority Leader, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson and busines man, Richard Jakpa were acquitted and discharged by the Appeal Court.
A 2:1 decision overturned the previous order from the trial court, which required Dr. Ato Forson and Jakpa to open their defence.
They had been charged with allegedly causing financial loss of €2.37 million to the State in a deal to procure ambulances for the Government of Ghana.
Commenting on the development, Prof. Arthur, explained to journalists that a tape allegedly exposing the Attorney General helped to prevent a serious outcome.
The professor emphasized that the tape’s intervention was instrumental in safeguarding the interests of the two individuals.
