The Convention People’s Party (CPP) has suspended Hajia Hamdatu from its Communications Team with immediate effect, citing comments she made on a public platform that contradict the party’s position, vision and mission.
The suspension was announced in a statement issued by the Office of the National Communications Director of the CPP on Monday.
According to the statement, the action forms part of disciplinary measures available to the Communications Director to ensure consistency and discipline within the party’s communication machinery.
“Hajia Hamdatu made a statement on a public platform which contradicts the position, vision and mission of the Convention Peoples Party,” the statement said.
The party has further directed all media organizations — including print, radio and television outlets — not to engage Hajia Hamdatu as a CPP communicator or as a representative authorized to speak on behalf of the party at any level.
The CPP called on media houses to cooperate with the directive to ensure that views and opinions expressed on their platforms accurately reflect the official position of the party.
The statement was signed by the CPP’s Communications Director, Comrade Osei Kofi Acquah.
No further details were provided regarding the specific comments that led to the suspension.
