Residents of Pokukrom and Jerusalem in the Upper Denkyire East Municipality in the Central Regions are breathing a sigh of relief following the recently upgraded several networks in the area.
The Pokukrom-Jerusalem road is now accessible to motorbikes, tricycles and vehicles killing challenges of the locals, especially farmers, expected to boost economic activities and improve connectivity in the area.

The upgraded road is part of the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP) aimed at enhancing rural infrastructure.
This move by the local Assembly has therefore, brought hope to residents, traditional rulers farmers who sometimes find it difficulty to transport theirs farm produce to market.
With support of the Member of Parliament (MP) for the constituency, Hon. Emelia Ankomah, efforts are being made to ensure the road network is effective and efficient.
“We are working tirelessly to deliver quality results, Trust us to get the job done.”
“With motorbikes and tricycles now able to ply the road, residents can expect easier transportation of goods and services, and improved access to markets” Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), George Anane Coleman told journalists on site.
“The project has generated excitement among locals, who are looking forward to better connectivity and access.” He praised the NDC government, led by H.E John Dramani Mahama, remains committed to developing Ghana’s infrastructure.
