A paternity dispute involving veteran gospel musician Kwaku Gyasi has taken a new turn after a DNA test confirmed he is not the father of a child brought forward by a woman identified as Anna.
Anna had earlier accused the musician of impregnating her during a relationship she claimed occurred about a decade ago. Speaking on Sompa FM in Accra, Monitored by Kumasi Mail, she alleged that Gyasi abandoned her after she became pregnant and refused to accept responsibility for the child.
According to her, repeated attempts to get the musician to acknowledge the child proved unsuccessful, prompting her to make the matter public through the media.
Kwaku Gyasi, however, denied the allegations, stating that he did not know Anna and had never met her.
Following the conflicting claims, both parties agreed to undertake a DNA test to establish paternity. The results showed that the Pentecost Church Member Gyasi is not the biological father of the child.
Despite the outcome, Anna has rejected the findings and insists she will continue to pursue the matter in an effort to prove her claim.
The case has drawn public attention, highlighting the role of scientific testing in resolving paternity disputes.
