Kennedy Agyapong, a contender in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primaries, has revealed that he is holding back from speaking out due to feeling hurt over accusations from within his own party.
In an exclusive interview monitored by Kumasimail, Agyapong explained why he has remained silent on national issues under the current leadership of President John Dramani Mahama.
Reflecting on recent criticisms, Agyapong said, “They wrote 10 sins of Kennedy Agyapong , and when you take them one by one, none of them was I defending my family member, I was defending the party and they call it as a sin, so I’m quiet.”
He expressed frustration over attacks faced by NPP members from opponents, noting, “What the NDC is doing now to our party people, by my normal style, I would have reacted, and they would have slowed down the intimidation. But this time, I am not doing it because I don’t want to get 11 sins.”
Addressing questions about his silence, Agyapong stated firmly, “I am quiet because I am hurt. That defending NPP party, and I was charged with treason. Now they see it as a sin, so I’m quiet. I’m not going to say anything again.”
