The Ministry of the Interior has announced that Friday, 6h June 2025, will be observed as a statutory public holiday across the country in celebration of Eid-Ul-Adha.
The declaration, signed by Minister for the Interior Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak (MP), calls on all citizens and institutions to recognize and observe the day in accordance with its significance.

The holiday is traditionally marked by prayers, feasts, and acts of charity.
The government’s official notice serves as a reminder for the public to prepare for the holiday and for businesses and public services to plan accordingly.
This statutory holiday underscores the nation’s respect for religious observances and promotes unity and cultural heritage among its diverse population.
