New Patrotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate for the upcoming December 7 polls, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has assured traditional leaders and citizens of the Asuogyaman, Lower Manya, and Yilo Krobo constituencies of his commitment to preserving Ghana’s cultural heritage and addressing societal ills.
During a series of engagements yesterday, Dr. Bawumia emphasized the importance of collaborating with traditional authorities to promote good cultural norms and reform harmful practices.
He specifically highlighted the need to tackle deviant sexual behavior, which he described as a menace to society.
“Our cultural norms and beliefs have largely stood the test of time, and a Bawumia Presidency will work to preserve the good while helping to reform the others.
“I assured of my future government’s greater collaboration with traditional authorities to work against the ills of society, including the menace of deviant sexual behaviour.”, Dr. Bawumia posted on his Facebook wall
Dr. Bawumia’s message was well-received by the chiefs and people, who expressed enthusiasm for his vision of a Ghana that honors its traditions while embracing positive change.
With his rallying cry of “It is Possible,” Dr. Bawumia is confident that his presidency will bring about a new era of cooperation between government and traditional leaders, leading to a brighter future for all Ghanaians.
