President-elect John Dramani Mahama has appointed Augustus Goosie Tannoh as the Presidential Advisor for 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development.

According to a statement issued by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Special Aide to Mahama, these appointments will take effect on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
The 24-Hour Economy initiative was one of the key policy proposals highlighted during Mahama’s campaign for the December 7 elections.
According to the NDC, the initiative seeks to provide an opportunity to unlock the country’s full potential.
A 24-hour economy is a system where businesses and services operate beyond traditional daytime hours, making them available in the evenings, night-time and early morning.
This allows for increased flexibility in accessing goods and services and creates more job opportunities, especially for individuals who prefer or are available to work during non-traditional hours.

6. Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofosu – Ag. Spokesperson to the President
