President John Dramani Mahama is co-chairing the high-level segment of the Global One Health Summit alongside French President Emmanuel Macron, as world leaders gather to advance solutions to pressing global health challenges.
The summit brings together heads of state, health ministers, and international experts to promote stronger health systems, sustainable food production, and coordinated responses to emerging health threats.
President Mahama, founder of the Accra Reset Initiative, is expected to deliver two keynote addresses during the event.
His first address will be presented at a session on global health architecture, co-chaired by President Macron and Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

The session will focus on reforms to global health initiatives and the endorsement of a political declaration aimed at strengthening international health cooperation.
His second keynote will open the high-level segment for heads of state and government, where he will outline Ghana’s vision and commitments to global health security.

The president is expected to highlight the country’s leadership in promoting collaborative, cross-sectoral approaches to tackling emerging health threats.
The Global One Health Summit is seen as a critical platform for fostering international partnerships and advancing coordinated strategies to address interconnected health, environmental, and food security challenges worldwide.
