During the summit, the Ghanaian president will deliver two keynote addresses. The first will be at a meeting on global health architecture, co-chaired by President Macron and World Health Organization Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, where discussions will centre on reforms to global health initiatives.
His second address will open the high-level segment for heads of state and government, where he is expected to outline Ghana’s position and commitments on global health security.
On Wednesday, Mr Mahama will travel to Paris for bilateral talks with President Macron at the Élysée Palace.
The discussions are expected to focus on strengthening relations between Ghana and France, with key areas including health, education, trade, investment and regional security.
Ahead of the meeting, Mr Mahama will also meet Gérard Larcher, President of the French Senate.
The president is expected to return to Accra shortly after the talks.
