Ghanaian entrepreneur Dr. Sangu Delle says his faith has become the ultimate guide in deciding whether to enter active politics in the future.

Speaking in a recent interview on PanaGeniusTV, a YouTube Channel monitored by our Northern Regional Editor, Dr. Delle said although he has always been passionate about politics and governance, he will only pursue it if it aligns with what he believes to be the will of God.

“I have always believed in the ability to leverage politics and use governance to transform people,” he said. “I have always been passionate about how we can reform government, reform our politics, and just improve the lives of people.”

He explained that his recent faith journey has reshaped how he approaches life, leadership, and purpose.

“My number one goal is to bring glory to the kingdom,” he said. “So if it is the will of God, so be it. If it is not, then it is not something I will do. I will only get involved in so far as it is the will of God.”

Dr. Delle said there are many ways to make a difference outside partisan politics.

“There are many ways in which you can make a difference and impact the country,” he said.

He added that his focus is now on aligning his work and decisions with his faith and long-term purpose.

“Now I ask myself, is this in alignment with my North star? If it is not, no matter how great it sounds, I will not do it,” he said.

Reflecting on Africa’s development priorities, Dr. Delle said the continent must learn to define its own vision and goals rather than following external agenda.

“Sometimes money is coming and we like to adapt, so we end up being spineless,” he said. “We do not have the vision. That is one thing I love about Rwanda. Rwanda has its clear goals. If you fit into those goals, yes. If you do not, they are not interested.”

He said conversations about foreign support and global philanthropy are welcome, but African countries must take responsibility for their own development direction.

“If people think a particular model does not work for Africa, that is fine,” he said. “Come up with your own model.”

Dr. Delle advised both leaders and young people to define their “North star” and remain true to it.

“Have your North star, know where you are going, and anything that comes should fit into that,” he said. “If it is in alignment with my North star and the will of God, then yes. If not, I am at peace walking away.”
