The Minister for the Interior and Member of Parliament for Asawase, Alhaji Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak, has been honoured with a citation by the Ashanti Regional Communications Bureau of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in recognition of what the party described as his steadfast commitment and unwavering support in the Ashanti Region.
According to a statement the minister shared on Facebook after the event, the delegation was led by the Ashanti Regional Chairman, Augustus Andrews, who commended his leadership and described him as one of the most effective Interior Ministers Ghana has had.
The citation, the statement said, highlighted key reforms implemented under his leadership at the Interior Ministry, including measures aimed at strengthening transparency, improving logistics for the country’s security services, and promoting good governance.
The Asawase who was present at the event said “the recognition should not be seen as a personal achievement but rather a reflection of collective efforts to build a just, secure and prosperous Ghana” .
He also used the occasion to call on party communicators and supporters to remain disciplined and professional in promoting the party’s message.
He urged them to remain patriotic while defending the national interest and rally behind the vision of former President John Dramani Mahama.
Mr. Mubarak added that the party’s focus remains on restoring hope and delivering development for all Ghanaians.
