Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as Napo, has urged voters in the Ashanti Region to reject the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming elections, warning that a vote for the party would hinder the region’s progress.
Addressing a rally in Tweapeasi, within the Odotobiri Constituency, the Vice Presidential Candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) accused the NDC of neglecting the development needs of the Ashanti Region despite receiving significant support from its voters in past elections.
“We vote for development, but the NDC has consistently failed to prioritize the needs of the Ashanti Region,” Napo said, expressing disappointment with the opposition party’s record.
He argued that only the NPP remains genuinely committed to advancing the region, citing examples of discriminatory policies enacted by the NDC, such as the introduction of NHIS capitation solely in the Ashanti Region.
Napo urged voters not to waste their votes on the NDC, asserting that the party has little regard for the region’s progress.
