The Governing New Patriotic Party (NPP)is accusing the largest opposition party, National Democratic Congress (NDC), of attempting to rig the 2024 general elections using what they describe as crude, undemocratic, and unpatriotic strategy.
The party have uncovered a secret document from the NDC, reportedly drafted in 2021, as part of a strategic plan to frustrate government’s efforts to stabilize the country. The document allegedly outlines steps to disrupt legislative procedures and block the passage of revenue bills in parliament.
Speaking at a press conference the NPP’s Director of Communications, Richard Ahiagbah argued that this secret document is a deliberate plot to hoodwink Ghanaians.
He further commended the NPP caucus in parliament for upholding the rule of law and resisting what he called the NDC’s attempts to incite chaos in parliament yesterday.
