Ghana’s head coach, Otto Addo, has expressed his determination for the team to maintain their top spot in Group I through to the end of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Otto Addo was all smiles on Friday night after leading the Black Stars to a commanding 5-0 win over Chad in Round 5 of the African qualifiers for next year’s World Cup.
The win propelled Black Stars to go top of Group I with 12 points, two more than Madagascar in second.
In his post-match interview following Ghana’s victory over Chad, coach Otto Addo emphasized that the team’s goal is to remain at the top.
He further stressed that his Black Stars will give their all to secure a victory against Madagascar in Round 6 of the qualifiers.
“It’s always easier when you’re on top. We want to stay there. We will try to do everything to beat Madagascar on Monday to keep the top spot,” coach Otto Addo said.
Madagascar and Ghana are set to face off on Monday, March 24, in Morocco.
