The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Constituency Secretary for Nhyiaso, Michael Essel-Mills, has lambasted the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) for its recent Right to Information (RTI) requests regarding the procurement and management of fleet ambulances and DRIP machines.
Mr. Essel-Mills described the NDC’s actions as a “desperate attempt to discredit the government’s achievements” in the sector.
He emphasized that the NDC’s motives are driven by a desire to tarnish the government’s image, rather than a genuine interest in transparency and accountability.
Mr. Essel-Mills maintained that the procurement and management processes for the fleet ambulances and DRIP machines have been transparent and in accordance with best practices.
He pointed to the positive impact of these initiatives on healthcare outcomes and the lives of citizens, and urged the public to disregard the NDC’s “propaganda-driven” RTI requests.
According to Mr. Easel-Mills, the NDC is unable to counter the positive impacts of these initiatives under the leadership of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and has resorted to propaganda-driven RTI requests to tarnish the government’s image.
“The NDC is clearly unable to match the NPP’s achievements in healthcare and other sectors, so they’re resorting to frivolous RTI requests to create unnecessary controversy,” Mr. Easel-Mills wrote on Facebook
He emphasized that the procurement and management of the fleet ambulances and DRIP machines have been transparent and in accordance with best practices, and that the benefits of these initiatives are evident in the improved healthcare outcomes and lives saved.
Mr. Essel-Mills urged the public to disregard the NDC’s propaganda and focus on the tangible achievements of the NPP government.
