Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has declared a renewed confidence in Ghana’s economy, signaling its steady recovery and promising growth.
Presenting the 2026 Budget Statement in Parliament, Dr. Forson expressed optimism, declaring, “Confidence is returning, and the Blackstar is rising again.”
He reassured lawmakers and citizens that safeguarding the integrity of public finances remains a top priority under his stewardship.
He painted a hopeful picture of Ghana’s future, saying the nation is “back, strong, stable, and full of hope.”
Highlighting a sense of national pride, he added that “our Blackstars are heading to the World Cup,” symbolizing Ghana’s broader resurgence on the global stage.
The Finance Minister described the new budget as a continuation of progress, focused on leveraging economic stability to create opportunities that would ultimately lead to prosperity for all Ghanaians.
On behalf of the President, Dr. Forson extended heartfelt thanks to organized labor, employers’ associations, and Ghanaian workers for their collaborative efforts in agreeing on the National Minimum Wage and base pay for 2026.
