Dr. Bryan Acheampong has concluded a nationwide tour that took him to all 276 constituencies across Ghana, marking one of the most extensive grassroots engagements by a presidential hopeful within the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The tour, which ended this week in Accra, was aimed at strengthening ties with party delegates, assembly members and community leaders, while reinforcing messages of unity, discipline and inclusiveness within the party ahead of the 2028 general elections.
According to a statement from his campaign office, Dr. Acheampong used the tour to emphasize the role of grassroots members in the NPP’s future, describing them as the “heartbeat” of the party.
He expressed gratitude for the reception he received nationwide and pledged to ensure that delegates and local leaders play a central role in the party’s renewal process.
A notable feature of the tour was his visit to the Bawku zone, an area often regarded as politically and logistically challenging. Dr. Acheampong is the only aspirant so far reported to have toured the zone, a move his team says reflects his determination to engage all constituencies without exception.
Speaking at the close of the tour, Dr. Acheampong said the interactions had reaffirmed his belief in inclusive leadership. “This journey has shown me once again that our party’s strength lies at the grassroots,” he said. “Together, we will build a stronger NPP and a stronger Ghana.”
Political observers say the nationwide engagement has significantly expanded Dr. Acheampong’s visibility within the party and positioned him as a contender with broad grassroots appeal.
Dr. Bryan Acheampong is a politician, entrepreneur and philanthropist. He has consistently highlighted discipline, competence and grassroots empowerment as central pillars of his political vision, which he says is focused on building strong families, communities and a resilient nation.
