Chelsea suffered a humiliating exit from the UEFA Champions League after being dismantled 8-2 on aggregate by a ruthless Paris Saint-Germain side, who completed a clinical second-leg performance to assert their dominance.

After a 5-2 defeat in the first leg, Chelsea entered the return fixture with slim hopes, but PSG once again proved too strong, producing one of the most one-sided ties in recent Champions League knockout history.

PSG struck early, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia capitalizing on an error by Chelsea defender Mamadou Sarr in the 6th minute, calmly slotting past goalkeeper Robert Sanchez to extend the aggregate lead.

The visitors doubled their advantage just eight minutes later through a composed finish from Bradely Barcola, leaving Chelsea’s defense exposed once again.

Chelsea showed fleeting signs of a response after the break, but PSG quickly snuffed out any hope of a comeback. In the 62nd minute, half-time substitute Senny Mayulu added the third goal of the night, finishing off a slick team move with a precise strike from the edge of the box.

The result marks a disappointing European campaign for Chelsea, whose defensive frailties and lack of attacking sharpness were brutally exposed over both legs.

For PSG, the focus now turns to the quarter-finals, where they will face either Liverpool or Galatasaray.
