George Opoku Amponsah, the former Juaben Constituency Coordinator for Team Ken 2028, has officially announced his withdrawal from the campaign’s communications team with immediate effect.
In a formal letter addressed to the Ashanti Regional Campaign Office through Lawyer William Kusi, Amponsah stated that his decision was not borne out of any ill will toward Team Ken, but rather a move to affirm his “unalloyed allegiance and loyalty to a new aspirant” in the upcoming presidential primaries of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
“This decision bears no malice against Team Ken,” Amponsah noted, emphasizing that his shift in support is a personal and strategic choice aligned with his political convictions.
While he did not name the new aspirant he intends to support, Amponsah concluded his statement with well wishes for Team Ken’s campaign.
Amponsah’s resignation marks a notable shift within the internal dynamics of the NPP’s presidential primary race, as campaign teams begin to realign ahead of the 2028 contest.
