The Minister for the Interior, Alhaji Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak, has assured officers and personnel of the security services of government’s commitment to improving their welfare, particularly in the areas of housing, morale and logistics.
He gave the assurance during the Joint Security Services Route March held at the El-Wak Sports Stadium in Accra on Tuesday.

The event, organised by the Ghana Armed Forces in collaboration with other security agencies, was aimed at demonstrating the collective readiness of the security services to maintain peace and order throughout the festive season.

Alhaji Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak, who attended the event alongside the Acting Defence Minister, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, said government remains committed to the continuous retooling of the security services to enhance their operational efficiency.
He commended officers and personnel for their dedication, professionalism and sacrifices in the discharge of their duties, describing their service as critical to national stability and public safety.

The Interior Minister said the joint route march reaffirmed the shared resolve of the security agencies to protect the country and ensure the safety of citizens during the festive period and beyond.
Participants in the march included personnel from the Ghana Armed Forces, the Ghana Police Service and other allied security agencies.
The annual joint exercise is part of broader efforts by security institutions to reassure the public of their preparedness to respond to security challenges nationwide.
