The Minister for the Interior, Alhaji Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak, has officially sworn in the newly constituted Entity Tender Committee of the Ministry of the Interior.
The minister charge them to uphold the highest standards of accountability, transparency, and value for money in all public procurement activities.
Speaking at the ceremony held this morning, the Minister emphasized the critical role the Committee plays in ensuring strict adherence to the Public Procurement Act, 2003 (Act 663), as amended.
He urged members to perform their duties with diligence, independence of thought, and unwavering integrity.
“The Ministry expects the Committee to be a benchmark for excellence in procurement management across the public sector,” Alhaji Mubarak stated.
“We are committed to supporting you with the necessary resources to enable you to carry out your mandate effectively.”
He also expressed full confidence in the Committee’s capacity to meet its responsibilities, highlighting the government’s broader commitment to fostering a procurement culture that is ethical, efficient, and serves the best interests of the Ghanaian people.
The newly sworn-in Committee is expected to oversee procurement processes within the Ministry, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards while promoting efficiency and value in the use of public funds.
