Lawrence Adu, a prominent member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has thrown his weight behind Kennedy Ohene Agyapong as the party’s best hope for victory in the 2028 elections.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Oyerepa FM, monitored by Kumasi Mail Mr. Adu painted a clear picture of why he believes Agyapong is the only leader within the NPP capable of leading the party to triumph.
He said “Kennedy Agyapong is the only man who can lead the NPP to cross the river to victory”.
Adu’s endorsement is rooted in Agyapong’s remarkable business achievements.
He highlighted Agyapong’s status as a Ghanaian entrepreneur who has not only established thriving companies within the country but has also provided employment opportunities to countless Ghanaians.
“Kennedy Agyapong is the only Ghanaian who has opened companies in Ghana; he did not establish his businesses in other countries. He has employed many Ghanaians”.
According to Lawerence Adu, what sets Agyapong apart is his impeccable track record of maintaining harmonious labor relations.
“For over 32 years, none of his employees have gone on strike due to non-payment”, a feat that Adu argues is unparalleled in Ghana’s business landscape.
He compared the frequent strikes by government employees, despite the government receiving substantial taxpayer funds. Adu sees this as a testament to Agyapong’s exceptional leadership and investment acumen, qualities he believes are essential for the next president of Ghana.
“Even the Ghanaian government, to which we pay our taxes, experiences strikes by its employees. This demonstrates that Kennedy Agyapong is an exceptional investor.”
