MTN Ghana has introduced a new surveillance product, Business Eye, targeting businesses seeking remote monitoring and security solutions.
The product, which is now available nationwide, is designed to allow businesses to monitor assets and oversee operations in real time. It is intended for use in environments such as retail shops, restaurants, fuel stations, warehouses and office spaces.
Business Eye comes in both SIM-enabled and WiFi-enabled versions. According to MTN, the system offers continuous remote monitoring with real-time alerts, cloud-based storage with local SD-card backup, and two-way audio for communication. The device also includes a solar-powered option to ensure functionality during power outages.
Speaking at the launch, Chief Enterprise Business Officer of MTN Ghana, Angela Mensah-Poku, said the product aligns with the company’s broader enterprise strategy. “At MTN, we are committed to empowering businesses with smart, innovative solutions that go beyond connectivity,” she said.
She said the solution is particularly relevant as businesses operate during the Christmas period and beyond. “Business Eye provides real-time visibility and control, helping organisations remain secure and efficient even in challenging environments,” she added, describing the product as part of MTN’s efforts to support business resilience.
MTN has also introduced dedicated Internet of Things bundle packages to support the use of Business Eye. Customers can subscribe to the service by dialling *5060#, while devices are available at MTN retail shops, authorised resellers and through the company’s business solutions platform online.
The launch marks MTN Ghana’s latest expansion into enterprise-focused digital services, as telecommunications operators increasingly diversify beyond traditional voice and data offerings into security and monitoring solutions for businesses.
