Former NSS director Osei Assibey Antwi detained by NIB over alleged Ghost names scandal
Former Executive Director of the National Service Scheme (NSS), Osei Assibey Antwi, has been detained by the National Investigations Bureau (NIB) in connection with an alleged ghost names scandal within the scheme.
According to family sources, the former KMA Mayor voluntarily reported to the NIB on Thursday after being invited by the investigative body.
However, his family claims he has since been denied bail, access to legal representation, and medical care despite reportedly complaining of ill health.
Sources further revealed that NIB officials conducted a search of Mr. Assibey Antwi’s residence in Accra earlier today.
The NIB has yet to issue an official statement on the detention or the allegations surrounding the case.
