The Abuakwa Zongo Chief, Alhaji Saani Jnr, has cautioned some Zongo youth in the Atwima Nwabiagya South Municipality against what he described as persistent and unfair attacks on the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Wisdom Osei Boamah, popularly known as Okumkom.

According to the chief, the MCE has not committed any wrongdoing to warrant the continued criticisms and insults directed at him by some individuals.
Speaking to the youth, Alhaji Saani Jnr urged them to exercise restraint and show respect for the MCE, who represents the President in the municipality.
He noted that many party supporters worked tirelessly to ensure the victory of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the last elections and therefore called for patience as the party’s leadership works to address their concerns.
He emphasised that development and support cannot be achieved through hostility or pressure, urging the youth to adopt a more cooperative approach in their engagement with the municipal authorities.
Quoting a local proverb, the chief advised that people seeking assistance should approach leaders with respect rather than confrontation.
Alhaji Saani Jnr further warned individuals who continue to insult the MCE and the party to desist immediately, stressing that such actions risk damaging the image of the Zongo communities within the municipality.
He therefore called on the youth to conduct themselves responsibly and work together with local authorities to promote peace and development in Atwima Nwabiagya South.
