Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has shared his thoughts after Ghana was placed in Group L of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The group includes England, Croatia, and Panama, making it a competitive challenge for Ghana as they prepare for their fifth World Cup appearance.
Despite the difficulty, Otto Addo expressed strong belief in his team’s ability to compete with any opponent.
“We want to win every match, that’s for sure. If we start well, anything is possible,” he told 3Sports.
“On a good day, I know we can beat anyone — but I also know we can lose to any of these teams, including Panama, if we underrate them.”
The draw event in Washington D.C. produced several exciting matchups, and Group L is already being viewed as one of the most unpredictable groups of the tournament.
England will open their campaign against Croatia on June 17 in either Dallas or Toronto, setting the tone for a competitive battle within the group.
With Ghana aiming to regain their strong World Cup reputation, Otto Addo’s confidence reflects the team’s determination heading into the tournament.
