A/R: NPP Youth organizer boosts campaign efforts with motorbike donation
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The Ashanti Regional Youth Organizer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Raphael Patrick Sarfo, has made a strategic contribution to enhance the party’s campaign efforts in the Sekyere Afram Plains constituency.

In a bid to secure victory in the upcoming 2024 elections, the Youth Organizer presented a motorbike to Eliasu Jambedu, the NPP’s Youth Organizer for Sekyere Afram Plains, Constituency in Drobonso.

The donation is part of Sarfo Patrick’s ongoing “1 Constituency, 1 Motorbike” project, which aims to equip NPP Youth Organizers across the Ashanti Region with the necessary logistics to effectively mobilize support ahead of the elections.

The initiative has been described as “extremely successful and impactful” by the Organizer, who emphasized the importance of resourcing party officials to secure electoral wins in key constituencies.

Narrow Loss in 2020 Fuels Determination for 2024

The Sekyere Afram Plains constituency was a closely contested seat in the 2020 parliamentary elections. The NPP candidate, Joseph Gyamfi Owusu, narrowly lost to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, Alex Adomako-Mensah, by just 156 votes.

Adomako-Mensah secured 50.49% of the vote with 8,079 votes, while Gyamfi Owusu garnered 7,923 votes, representing 49.51% of the total.

Sarfo believes that with better logistical support and the right candidates, the NPP can easily claim the Sekyere Afram Plains seat. which has never been won by the New Patriotic Party in both presidential and parliamentary elections. “Considering the achievements and record of the NPP government so far, coupled with the candidates we are presenting for the 2024 elections, winning the seat can be done with ease,” he stated.

Call for Additional Support

While praising the success of the motorbike project, He made an appeal for further donations to support the Ashanti Regional Constituency Youth Organizers. He underscored the critical role these organizers play in the campaign, particularly in mobilizing the youth to support the party’s presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia among other party activities.

“This special project is aimed at resourcing the Youth Organizers of our great party in the stronghold with adequate logistics to be effectively functional in the 2024 campaign,” Sarfo explained. He expressed confidence that with the support of Dr. Bawumia, affectionately known as “Mr. Digital Man,” and Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the NPP will achieve victory in the upcoming elections.

Building Momentum for 2024

Sarfo’s motorbike donation is part of broader efforts by the NPP to build momentum in the Ashanti Region, a critical stronghold for the party. By ensuring that constituency organizers are well-equipped, the party aims to maximize voter turnout and secure a decisive win in the 2024 elections. The initiative reflects the NPP’s commitment to maintaining its influence in the region and reinforcing its grassroots mobilization efforts.

As the election campaign intensifies, the NPP’s strategic investments in logistical support and youth engagement are expected to play a crucial role in shaping the outcome in key constituencies like Sekyere Afram Plains.
