The Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe Abronye has issued a bold challenge to General Overseer of Glorious Word Power Ministry International, Rev. Owusu Bempah regarding the latter’s prophecy that former President John Mahama will win the upcoming December 7 elections.
In an interview with Net2 TV, he provocatively offered his car key to the host, inviting the pastor to reciprocate with his own car key, emphasizing his confidence in Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s victory.
He said “I dare Owusu Bempah, my friend, to produce his car key, as I am confident Bawumia will triumph. If the NPP loses, he can take my car and conversely, I’ll take his car key if the NDC loses”, Abronye stated, framing the challenge as a testament to his faith in the NPP’s success.
“This is a challenge I’m throwing to him because I know and have faith that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will win this election. The prophecy Owusu Bempah and other clergy gave to John Mahama and the NDC, claiming they would win the election, is a lie.”
He further claimed that if Mahama loses, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) would turn against Bempah, accusing him of misleading them.
“I’m certain that if Mahama doesn’t win the election, the NDC will insult and intimidate him. Put me on record: the NDC will lose, Mahama will cry, and this is a prophecy – the NDC will blame him for Mahama’s loss”.
He expressed skepticism about whether Bempah would accept the challenge, implying that the pastor is aware of his false prophecies.
“This is a spiritual matter, and as I’ve said, I know Owusu Bempah won’t bring his car since he knows he’s lying”, Abronye opined.
