King Paluta, born Thomas Adjei Wireko, hails from Atonsu Bokuro, a suburb of Kumasi, in the Ashanti region. Raised by a single mother, King Paluta attributes his success in the rap industry to her unwavering advice and support.
Despite numerous challenges throughout his career, King Paluta never wavered in his determination to achieve his dreams.
His journey in music began in 2004 when he recorded his first demo. However, financial constraints delayed his progress, and it wasn’t until 2008, almost four years later, that he was able to return to the studio.
During this time, he met Abismall and Owuraku (Phills Bright), who introduced him to studio work and featured him on their tracks.
King Paluta’s passion for rap saw him participate in street rap battles from 2007 to 2011. His skill in these battles earned him significant recognition, as he consistently defeated his opponents with sharp lyrical punches, winning over their fans and often taking home the prize money.
In 2012, King Paluta signed with an undisclosed record label. Despite the label’s grand promises of extensive brand promotion and the potential for his tracks to gain widespread popularity, these expectations were never fulfilled.
After three years of relentless recording sessions and unmet promises, King Paluta realized that staying with the label would not lead to the success he envisioned. This experience taught him valuable lessons about the music industry.
On the brink of losing hope, King Paluta found renewed inspiration after an encounter at Solid FM’s “Freestyle Saturday.” The show’s host, Kwame Poku “Scientific,” delivered a message that resonated deeply with him: “You are too talented to hide your lamp under the bed.
You need to come out.” Since then, with the encouragement of DJ Slim and others, King Paluta has continued to pursue his passion, refusing to let setbacks hold him back.
