Speaking with deep emotion, Brogya Genfi described Dr. Boamah as a committed Catholic, a principled leader, and a mentor whose faith and dedication to Ghana’s service shaped his own professional journey.
“You were not just my boss. You were my role model and my mentor,” Genfi said. “You held me close, entrusted me with responsibilities beyond my rank, and gave me the vantage of a principal so I could sharpen my skills.”
The Deputy Minister recalled how Dr. Boamah had been a source of guidance on national defence, governance, and the country’s future. He lamented the void left by the loss, saying, “Now, I am left with even more questions than ever. But the one who once answered them is gone.”
Genfi described the news of Dr. Boamah’s passing as the “hardest moment” of his life, admitting that he had clung to hope for a miracle. “Yet with each passing moment, my hope dissolves into tears, and my optimism fades with every drop,” he said.
Praising his late boss’s unwavering commitment to public service, Genfi said Dr. Boamah poured himself “wholly into his work, giving his best in every season” and leaving a legacy “etched in the fabric of our nation’s defence.”
He pledged to honour the memory of the Interior Minister, noting, “You showed me the way but left me lonely on the way at a time I least expected. Rest well, Mentor. Your mission is complete.”
