Outgoing Member of Parliament for Juaben Constituency, Ama Pomaa Boateng, has expressed her gratitude to her constituents as she officially hands over her role to her successor.
In a heartfelt statement issued on the eve of her departure from Parliament, the three-term MP reflected on her tenure, describing it as one of the greatest honors of her life.
During her time in office, Ama Pomaa Boateng represented Ghana as a member of the ECOWAS Parliament and served on the Middle East Council of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), roles she described as distinct privileges.
She also served as the Deputy Minister for Communications and Digitalization, contributing significantly to Ghana’s digital transformation agenda.
“I extend my sincere thanks to the President of the Republic for entrusting me with the responsibility of serving as Deputy Minister for Communications and Digitalization. It has been a privilege to contribute to Ghana’s digital transformation agenda, and I am proud of the strides we have made as a nation,” she stated.
The outgoing MP expressed deep appreciation to the people of Juaben Constituency for their unwavering support throughout her tenure. “To my constituents, thank you for believing in me, standing by me, and walking this path with me,” she said.
While her time as MP has come to an end, Ama Pomaa Boateng reassured her constituents of her continued commitment to the development of Juaben Constituency and the nation.
As she bids farewell, Ama Pomaa Boateng called on the community to support the incoming Parliament and work collectively for the progress of Ghana.
“Let us all continue to work together for the progress of our beloved country. God bless Juaben Constituency, God bless Ghana,” she concluded.
Ama Pomaa Boateng’s legacy as MP includes her advocacy for digitalization, regional cooperation, and development initiatives within her constituency.
