The newly sworn-in Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has pledged to serve with diligence and humility as he officially assumed office.
A day after his swearing-in at the Jubilee House on Thursday, January 30, 2025, Dr. Amoakohene paid a courtesy call on the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi on Friday, January 31, 2025.
During the visit, the Minister reaffirmed his commitment to promoting development in the region and working closely with traditional authorities to enhance governance and service delivery.
Dr. Amoakohene was accompanied by key regional security and administrative officials, including the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) Chief Director, Mr. Michael Owusu Amoako, the General Officer Commanding Central Command, Brigadier General Michael Opoku, the Regional Police Commander, DCOP Mr. Frank Abrokwa, and the Regional Commander of Prisons, Mr. James B. Mwinyelle, among other RCC officials.
The visit underscores the Minister’s recognition of the Asantehene’s pivotal role in regional development and traditional leadership. It also marks the beginning of his tenure as he seeks to foster collaboration between the government and the traditional authority for the progress of the Ashanti Region.
