The Asokore Mampong Municipal Assembly (AMMA) has announced a municipality-wide sanitation exercise scheduled for Saturday, November 1, 2025, as part of efforts to promote environmental cleanliness and public health across all communities within the municipality.
The exercise, which begins at 6:30 a.m., will take place simultaneously across all electoral areas. It follows the successful hosting of the recent Municipal Sanitation Conference, where participants emphasized the need for collective action in maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
In a statement issued on Thursday, October 30, 2025, the Assembly said the initiative seeks to deepen community participation in sanitation activities and strengthen the municipality’s commitment to sustainable waste management.

The clean-up campaign will bring together various stakeholders, including the Municipal Chief Executive, traditional leaders, clergy, youth groups, and officials from the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO). Security agencies such as the Ghana Armed Forces, Police Service, Immigration Service, Prisons Service, Fire Service, Customs Division, and National Security will also participate.
Special guests expected to join the exercise include the Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Dr. Frank Amoakohene, and the Municipal Chief Executive of Asokore Mampong, Hon. Ben Abdallah Alhassan.
The Assembly has directed that all shops and business premises remain closed until 2:00 p.m. on the day of the exercise to ensure maximum public participation.
“We call on all residents, institutions, and organizations to come out in their numbers to support this important civic activity aimed at enhancing sanitation, preventing disease, and promoting communal unity,” the statement read.
The Assembly reiterated its commitment to making Asokore Mampong a cleaner, healthier, and more resilient municipality through regular community-based environmental initiatives.
