The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Atebubu-Amantin, Thomas Ayaaba Masud, has embarked on an inspection tour of ongoing and proposed development projects in the Nyomoase Traditional Area, reaffirming his commitment to hands-on leadership and accelerated development in the municipality.
The visit formed part of routine site inspections aimed at ensuring quality delivery and timely completion of key infrastructure projects. Among the projects inspected was the construction of an ultramodern maternity block with auxiliary offices at Nyomoase, a facility expected to significantly improve maternal healthcare and address long-standing challenges associated with childbirth in the area.

Hon. Masud also toured sites earmarked for security infrastructure, following a proposal by the Nyomoase Traditional Council for the establishment of a temporary police post to enhance security in the community.
The MCE was accompanied by members of the Municipal Assembly’s management team, including the Assistant Director, Municipal Engineer, and Municipal Health Director, as well as some members of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Addressing residents during the visit, Hon. Masud commended the pace of work on the maternity block and stressed the importance of leadership that goes beyond office work.

“As a leader, you do not sit in the office alone. You must go to the field, inspect projects, and understand the real needs of the people,” he said.
He assured the Nyomoase Traditional Council and residents that the Assembly would take steps to initiate a temporary police post, with plans to construct a permanent police facility in the future.

For his part, the Municipal Engineer, Isaac Appiah-Adjei, said the maternity project was progressing steadily and had not experienced any delays. He expressed optimism that construction would be completed by the end of February, and urged community members to support the contractor to ensure quality workmanship.

Speaking on behalf of the Nyomoase Traditional Council, Nana Kwasi Gyan, Kyidomhene of the area, praised the MCE and President John Dramani Mahama for prioritising healthcare development in the community through the maternity block project. He, however, drew attention to other pressing challenges, particularly issues related to water supply, and appealed to the Municipal Assembly for urgent intervention.
Residents and opinion leaders in Nyomoase expressed appreciation for the MCE’s proactive leadership style, noting that the renewed focus on monitoring and delivering development projects would improve living conditions in the community and across the Atebubu-Amantin Municipality.
