Highlighting his integrity, intelligence, and problem-solving approach, she described these qualities as crucial for addressing the nation’s current challenges and meeting the aspirations of the youth.
Speaking at a book launch organized by her “Samira Bawumia Literacy Prize” initiative on Monday in Accra, the Second Lady said, Dr. Bawumia is a leader who confronts challenges with innovative ideas and a deep sense of responsibility.
“He has solutions to our problems. Dr. Bawumia is a very intelligent man. He is an honest man. He works very hard and applies himself, and this is a man bursting with ideas and doesn’t always do the same things and expects different results.
“Bawumia is always thinking outside the box and I think that is the kind of leadership we need as young people. We need somebody who will leapfrog Ghana’s development. We need somebody who can look beyond where we are at and say, ‘Look, we can do better and we can do it in a faster way to get to where we are going,’” Mrs. Bawumia said.
She further underscored what she terms “the transformative impact” of Dr Bawumia’s digitalisation agenda, highlighting its role in reducing corruption and laying the groundwork for economic growth.
