Former Asante Akim North MP, Andy Appiah-Kubi, has thrown his weight behind Dr. Bryan Acheampong as the right figure to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) into a new era, describing him as a “symbol of victory” capable of restoring the party’s fortunes.
speaking to journalists on Sunday, May 25, Appiah-Kubi expressed confidence in the former Minister of Food and Agriculture and current Member of Parliament for Abetifi, emphasizing his readiness to take up the mantle of leadership within the NPP.
“Our task is to present a great candidate who can redeem our party, NPP, and Dr. Bryan Acheampong is preparing himself for that mission,” he stated.
Appiah-Kubi praised Dr. Acheampong’s intellectual depth and entrepreneurial success, portraying him as a dual asset whose capabilities extend beyond politics.
“If we are looking for a candidate with intellectual prowess, Bryan is the one. If we want a successful business mogul, he’s that too. So with him, we’re killing two birds with one stone,” he added.
Dr. Acheampong, who has been gradually gaining prominence within the party, is widely seen as a potential contender for the NPP’s flagbearer position ahead of the next electoral cycle.
