Ghana’s Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu, has been discharged from hospital following a road traffic accident, his office has announced.
In a statement issued on 14 February 2026, the Office of the Minister said Mr Iddrisu had been treated at the 37 Military Hospital and was released after receiving medical care.
The statement said the minister was in good spirits and had been advised to rest as part of his recovery.
It added that he expressed gratitude to the medical team for their care, as well as to members of the public who offered prayers and support.
The Education minister is expected to resume official duties after a period of rest, in line with medical advice.
