The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Constituency Chairman for Ejura Sekyedumase, Hon. Abdul Rahman, popularly known as Austral, has called on Ghanaians—particularly residents of Zongo communities—to embrace peace, unity, and collective effort toward development in the New Year.
In his New Year message, Hon. Abdul Rahman extended warm wishes to all Ghanaians, with special greetings to NPP members and sympathizers across the constituency.
“Happy New Year to all Ghanaians, especially our cherished NPP members and supporters. May the New Year bring peace, prosperity, and good health to you and your families,” he said.
The constituency chairman, who is also the Zabarma (Zabrama) Chief, described Zongo communities as the “heart of the nation,” emphasizing their resilience and untapped potential.
He reaffirmed his commitment to addressing the unique challenges facing Zongos, particularly in education, infrastructure, and economic empowerment.
“As NPP chairman, I pledge renewed dedication to tackling the specific needs of our Zongo communities. Together, we can transform them into models of development and opportunity,” he stated.
Hon. Abdul Rahman stressed the importance of unity across tribal, religious, and regional lines, urging residents to focus on collaboration rather than division.
“This year, we must build bridges, not walls. We need to remain vigilant, united, and focused on delivering the progress our people deserve,” he added.
He also expressed appreciation to party members for their loyalty and sacrifices, noting that unity within the party would be key to future success.
“Thank you for your commitment. Together, we will achieve victory and serve our nation better,” he said, while extending special New Year wishes to Zongo communities for a prosperous 2026.
Touching on internal party affairs, Hon. Abdul Rahman disclosed that the NPP would intensify efforts to deliver tangible development projects following the party’s successful presidential and internal elections.
He urged party executives, council members, and delegates to remain united and work tirelessly to strengthen the party.
“Forward ever, backward never. Let us work hard and make the party shine,” he advised.
On national politics, the constituency chairman emphasized the need for free, fair, and peaceful elections, cautioning against political violence.
He stressed that violence is not a solution to political disagreements and called for inclusive dialogue that respects differing opinions.
“Despite the challenges, the NPP remains committed to peace, stability, and an inclusive political environment where every voice matters,” he said.
He concluded by underscoring the importance of protecting all Ghanaians, including NPP members, regardless of political affiliation, as the country continues its democratic journey.
