The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti Region has announced that all its Parliamentary Candidates have successfully submitted their nomination forms to the Electoral Commission, a day ahead of the official deadline.
This early submission is seen as a significant milestone as the party prepares for the upcoming general elections.
In a statement, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, Regional Secretary and Campaign Coordinator for the Ashanti NDC, congratulated the candidates for their commitment to representing their constituencies in Parliament.
He praised their dedication, noting that their perseverance is a testament to their resolve to serve the people of the Ashanti Region.
The party also extended special thanks to its Elections and Legal Directorates for their diligent efforts in ensuring the smooth filing process.
Additionally, the NDC celebrated its Presidential Candidate, John Dramani Mahama, who successfully submitted his nomination earlier in the week.
Mahama’s leadership, according to the statement, continues to inspire the party as it pushes for victory in December’s elections.
Dr. Amoakohene emphasized the Ashanti Regional NDC’s determination to secure a decisive win for both Mahama and the Parliamentary Candidates; urging supporters to remain united and focused in the final stretch of the campaign.
The NDC hopes to make significant gains in the Ashanti Region, a key battleground, as it heads into the December elections.
