Elections 2024: We can’t be intimidated in Ashanti region again – Muntaka

Hundreds of National Democratic Congress (NDC) sympathizers in Tafo-Pantrono Constituency in the Ashanti region today held massive health walk from Tafo through to Pankrono and Adabraka.

The walk was graced by former Mayor of Kumasi, Kojo Bonsu, former Regional minister Samuel Sarpong, former deputy minister of Works and Housing Samuel Yaw Adusei, Asawase MP muntaka Mohammed, Ashanti regional Chairman of the party Augustus Andrew Nana AKwasi, fomer CEO of GNPC Alex Mould among others.

Addressing the party supporters at Tafo Adabraka member of Parliament for the Asawase Constituency Muntaka Mubarak Mohammed commended the party supporters for exellent campaign they are conducting in the constituency.

He encouraged them to do more to ensure the victory of the party is secured in elections 2024.

He expressed confident that Ghanaians are ready to vote for the NDC but they lack confidence on the party protecting the votes they will give to the NDC citing what happen in elections 2020 where some sympathizers of the party were shot and killed.

He said’ look at our numbers here if we all go to the polling station during counting of the ballot papers in the ballot box there’s no way they can kill all of us to change the will of the people. Every constituency should make a plan of going to the coalition center with generator so that when they switch of life we can provide light for protection of our ballot” he said.

He further said the NDC is currently counting on it members to secure victory for the party by protecting its ballot.

“Alot of resource has gone into this elevtion process so please lets protect our party with our live. We are not prepare for violence but we must resist any intimidation. If they meet us with violence we will equally meet them with extraordinary force that one we can assure them” Muntaka warned.

Former Mayor of Kumasi, Kojo Bonsu who is chairman of the Tafo NDC zone for election 2024 campaign activities urged the constituent to vote for the NDC to rescure the country from bad governance of the New Patriotic Party.

Highlighting the party’s achievement while in office in the Ashanti region Kojo Bonsu said” the NDC built the Kejetia Market, Tafo Market, Atonsu market, Asawase market, komfo Anokye eye Center among many others.

He assured electorates in Tafo that if the bring back John Mahama in the 7th December 2024 the constituency will witness many more infrastructural developmental projects across the country.

The National Deputy organizer of the NDC Osman Ayariga on his part decribed the 2024 elections as the definding moment for the relibration of the country youth from unemployment.

” Said the party 2024 manifesto is full of opportunities for unemployment youth across the country”.

Chief Banny National coordinator of the the party also said” todays health walk is the full start of our campaign activities in Tafo constituency. Lets go all out room to room, house to house. After that will we then launch operation go out to vote for change. We cant campaign without ensuring the people come go out to vote” he said.
