Jackson University College celebrated its 12th graduation ceremony, themed “Inspiring Lives: The Transformative Power of Distance Education,” where graduates were reminded of their potential to drive change in an ever-evolving world.

Mrs. Theodosia Wilhelmina Jackson, in her address, praised the graduates for their dedication and resilience, particularly through the unique challenges of distance learning.

She highlighted the immense value of education as a lifelong journey and encouraged graduates to make a meaningful impact with their newfound knowledge.

“Today is about you,” she said. “Every night and every morning, your commitment to self-improvement has brought you here. This moment represents not only the end of one chapter but the beginning of a new journey.”

Reflecting on the significant advancements and opportunities that education provides, Mrs. Jackson urged graduates to leverage their achievements for the betterment of their communities and the nation. She emphasized that each individual’s contribution is essential in building a thriving society.

A Future Defined by Innovation and Purpose

Dr. Daniel A. Jackson, Pro-Director of Jackson University College and Managing Director of the Jackson Institute of Innovation and Leadership, inspired the audience with a message about embracing innovation in an increasingly globalized world. He underscored the college’s commitment to producing leaders equipped to address real-world challenges.

“The world is changing rapidly,” Dr. Jackson stated. “Education must be more than a personal achievement; it should empower you to be a driver of meaningful change. Graduates of Jackson University College are prepared to make an impact that resonates within their communities and beyond.”

He also recognized the invaluable support from families, friends, and mentors who contributed to the success of each graduate. “Your accomplishments reflect the hard work and sacrifices made by those who believed in you,” he acknowledged. “Cherish those relationships as you continue forward.”

A Call to Dream Big and Serve Society

Both speakers encouraged graduates to dream boldly, even amid uncertainty, and to remain resilient in their pursuit of goals. Mrs. Jackson urged the graduates to harness their strengths and passion, serving as pillars of innovation and progress. “Remember, education is not merely a degree; it’s a lifelong commitment to making a difference,” she said. “Contribute to society in ways that truly matter.”

The ceremony concluded with a collective sense of optimism and purpose, with graduates ready to face new challenges, equipped with the skills and values instilled by Jackson University College. They left the event with a renewed commitment to their aspirations, empowered by an education that has laid the foundation for their future success.
