The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has officially inaugurated the Young Climate Innovators Program (YCLIP), introducing 30 young innovators poised to lead transformative climate-focused projects across the country.
The event, held on Friday, January 31, 2025, marked a significant milestone in Ghana’s climate action efforts.
The Acting Chief Executive of the EPA, Nana Ama Klutse in her address, emphasized the dedication that has propelled the initiative from its inception.
She urged the selected innovators to take full ownership of their projects and develop practical solutions to address pressing environmental challenges.
“As we move forward, I encourage each of you to embrace this opportunity with a sense of responsibility and innovation. Your work will contribute meaningfully to our collective efforts in combating climate change,” he stated.
Before concluding, the EPA leader led the young innovators in a pledge, affirming their commitment to impactful and sustainable climate solutions.
The Young Climate Innovators Program aims to empower youth with the resources, mentorship, and platform needed to drive climate resilience and environmental sustainability in Ghana.
