The Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) has nominated Mr. Philip Appiah Kubi as its new presidential candidate for the 2024 elections.
This comes after the passing of Akua Donkor, the party’s original candidate.
In a letter to the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, the GFP responded to the commission’s request to nominate a replacement within ten days, as stipulated in Article 40(4) of the 1992 Constitution.
The GFP has confirmed that Mr. Kubi’s nomination will be formally filed within the required timeframe, in accordance with electoral laws.
